2026 Book 2:  A Walk Across America by Peter Jenkins

Published in 1979, I found this book at The Book Thing of Baltimore.  Frustrated with the era, a young Jenkins set out to better understand the country.  The book highlights some of his experiences and showcases the good, bad, and ugly of everyday people he encountered during his trek.  Anticipated a story of the hardships and observations of a journey across America.  He uncovered the cultural differences of the United States and inserted personal growth and reflection in the narrative.
